LIXI Glossary

The LIXI Glossary provides an industry-wide glossary of terms and definitions frequently used within the lending industry. This exciting new LIXI initiative will define the terms included in lending industry message standards and in particular in the description of and requirements for standards, and will also assist in interpretation and implementation of existing LIXI standards.

When describing the information within a standard, it is imperative that a single term is used and understood by all members to have a shared and common meaning. A true standard will prescribe that each term be supported by one agreed definition. All LIXI members would then adopt the one term for the purpose of exchanging data, with their backend systems translating the LIXI term to an equivalent in their own system.
 
When complete, the glossary will also allow for community feedback and discussion on the ‘real-life’ use of terms by different parties and industry sectors.

The primary URL will redirect to the most current version, previous versions will also remain available. The 'anchor' symbol beside each term contains the URL reference for the individual term within the glossary.
