NEW MEDIUM TO HELP CRACK THE LUCRATIVE LENDING MARKET

20 March 2006

Advertisers hoping to crack the lucrative residential lending industry have the opportunity expose their business to the major banks and all the participants of the Lending Industry XML Initiative (LIXI) through banner advertising.

LIXI, a not-for-profit group, introduced ecommerce standards to the lending industry through Credit Application Language (CAL) which allows home loan information to be standardised and transferred electronically, cutting processing times by 50 per cent and costs by up to $10m annually.

Socrates Vasiliadis, CEO of LIXI, says "LIXI website visitors include CEOs, Operations Managers, Developers and other Senior Managers. Their interests are focused on automating the lending industry, the role of LIXI in the industry, working papers and case studies, the LIXI@Work newsletter, software developments and the latest industry news" he says.

"Unlike many other websites, LIXI’s website presents clean, clutter free pages generating more hits and allowing advertiser to get more effective cut through," he said.

LIXI has already attracted more than 65 members including Macquarie Bank, ANZ, ING Bank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and St George, and a further 500 registered users of the $200 billion-a-year property lending industry, such as solicitors, settlement agents, brokers, mortgage insurers and valuers use the website on a daily basis.
From 1 January 2005 to 4 August 2005, the LIXI website registered more than 25,535,000 hits, averaging 3,800 hits per business day.

"It is also unique as 100 per cent of any revenue raised from the banner ads is fed back into the lending industry through the improvement of the LIXI website and its contents, as well as the development of tools and services related to the industry," he says.

The structure of the LIXI website allows two distinct and highly visible areas to be used for banner advertisements. The banner ads are available form $100/ month for a small banner (140x140 pixels), or $200/ month for a large banner (470x62 pixels). Interested companies can secure either or both areas according to their needs. A 10 per cent discount applies if both areas are used simultaneously.

The website is relevant to anyone with products, solutions or services for the Australian lending industry who seeks to create a greater awareness of their offerings.
