IP workshops
At the heart of LIXI are the standards created to support
interchange of information between member organisations, to
improve business processes, and reduce the cost of systems
integration.
Currently access to the intellectual property of the LIXI
standards is available to paid up Full Members. Recognising
that the mortgage industry is constantly changing, with new
participants and new products, as well as mergers, acquisitions,
and new business models, the LIXI Board has commenced a review
of the LIXI licensing regime.
The aim is protect LIXI intellectual
property, and thereby ensure a means by which revenue can be
raised to support the on-going enhancement and expansion of
the standards – but
to balance this with the needs and desires of the Members,
recognising that there is considerable variance across the
Members with regard to business functions (Lenders, Solicitors,
Software Service Providers, etc), scale (from “big four” Banks
to small Valuer companies), and corporate structure (multi-brand
and/or parent/subsidiary).
An early part of this Intellectual
Property review is a series of workshops to be conducted to
gather feedback regarding licensing and other related issues.
The consultation sessions for different user groups is scheduled
