2006 has been an exciting and challenging
year. At the end of last year we recognised that LIXI needed
to focus on the key areas of membership, the use of the standard
and funding sources. We felt that while LIXI was now a credible
brand in the market place, with the standard now accepted across
the mortgage lending industry, we needed to ensure that we
were able to secure the longevity of LIXI for the lending
community while at the same time broadening access to the
standard to as many people in the industry as possible.
To support this, the Board undertook three key initiatives
this year. We:
Set out to better understand member’s needs through
a survey.
Reviewed our overall tenet of membership and its link to
IP as we wanted to understand if this was this constraining
the success of LIXI as a standard.
Undertook a strategy review and from that developed a 3
year strategic plan based on the feedback from members and
incorporating the results of the 2 points above.
From this work and your feedback we now have a vision and
value proposition which will ensure that LIXI remains relevant
to the lending industry and continues to stay focused on what
is important - the member’s needs going into 2007.
While the Board focus for 2006 was ensuring we had the right
stepping stones in place to move LIXI to the next level of
our evolution, 2007 will be about implementing initiatives
to better the LIXI standards with this renewed focus.
On behalf of the LIXI Board and all the others in the LIXI
team, I wish everyone Seasons Greetings.
