In 2006 LIXI concentrated its efforts in establishing a governance
framework to cater for growth and increased responsibilities
in a challenging marketplace. In 2007, LIXI members can expect
emphasis on the development of updated versions of the standards
as well as new components of standards across the lending chain.
Our member feedback has requested focus on implementation facilities
which we are working on together with our research partner
NICTA.
Growth of our membership through an updated license model
is another target for 2007, and will help make LIXI standards
available to all lending participants and create a unified “voice” which
is representative of all sectors of the industry. The financial
management of 2006 has positioned LIXI for a strong and healthier
start in 2007, with adequate funding for all planned activities
and the provision of support resources to ease the burden from
the many Working Group volunteers.
