The past few months have been very busy for the LIXI
Technical Sub Committee. Draft versions of the vocabularies for Commissions
1.1 and CAL
1.4 are very near to being finalised. Both documents are
available through the members area on the LIXI website. All members are
invited to review these documents and provide feedback. If you require

A fixed date is not available yet, however the first
National Electronic Conveyancing System (NECS) Working Group meetings
will be announced and held soon. Members interested in electronic
conveyancing should keep an eye out for the announcement which will be
made through email and the LIXI website.
In response to an approach from groups in New Zealand,
the Technical Sub Committee has held discussions with the New Zealand
MBA plus NZ lenders and brokers. The subject of the discussions has
have the possiblity of accepting membership from New Zealand-based
organisations in order that a LIXI NZ Working Group could adapts CAL to
suit their requirements.
The Technical Sub Committee has also convened a meeting
of the Implementation Working Group with the objective of helping
members to more connect to each other’s systems more quickly. It is
hoped that some results from this group will be available in the coming
months.
