Commissions Reference Implementation
As announced at the LIXI Forum, work has commenced on a Reference
Implementation for the Commissions Working Group. Sponsored by
Microsoft, the broad objectives of the project are to provide guidance
with regard to how the Commissions standard can be implemented
and to create working code that members can adapt to meet their
own requirements.
A secondary objective is to better understand the factors that
make reference implementations successful. Feedback to date is
that open, transparent implementations go a long way toward explaining
and improving the standards. By formalising the reference implementation
process it is hoped that more, (and more frequent) projects can
be undertaken in 2008.
