LIXI™ @ Work

Chairman's welcome

Not-for-profit organisation - a term we associate at this time of year with charitable organisations and the wonderful work they do in bringing happiness to those less fortunate. It is also a term that identifies LIXI and the intention of its broad membership. This past year, LIXI firmly established the recognition of its standard and is well advanced in making LIXI the prerequisite for all mortgage lending related software applications.

This year also saw the first issue of this newsletter and the concept of regular General Meetings [GM], which bring updates and exposure to the work carried out by LIXI and its members to a wider audience.

The third AGM was also a success with all board members returned unopposed for another term. Whilst the Board continues to work hard, congratulations go to all volunteers of our working groups who dedicate their time and expertise to make LIXI happen. It is very exiting to see the LIXI roadmap extended and find new components of LIXI in production throughout the lending chain. The “3 minutes with a LIXI developer” was also a success and I know we all look forward to the next GM (due early Q2 next year) and more insights into how to get the best out of LIXI.

Membership renewals are also due soon so I encourage everyone to renew and/or update to full membership and to get that much more involved in the new membership year. Read a couple of verbatim quotes from existing members in this newsletter and you will agree that the LIXI contribution to its members is indeed both valuable and valued. I also urge you to renew before December 31 to make matters easy as our limited resources are best deployed in extending the reach of the standard rather than chase paper.

Since we are on the topic of digging into our pockets why not make it a double header and also help one of those other not-for-profit charity organisations. Seasons Greetings.

LIXI Chairman
