The various LIXI working groups have all be progressing well
over the last couple of months. The Title Insurance Working
Group and the Valuations Working Group are both very close to
delivering a final requirements specification so Request-For-Comment
(RFC) draft standards can be expected by early September.
Behind the scenes a great deal of work is being done to migrate
to the new standards architecture (as presented at the last
General Meeting and described in the LIXI Roadmap) and RFC drafts
for a range of transactions will be published shortly. The long
awaited LIXI/CAL 1.3 will be the first priority, closely followed
by standards for Commissions and for Settlements.
In the meantime you might like to try exploring the new link
to “The LIXI Standards” that can now be found under
the “Documents” heading on the member’s page
of the LIXI website. There’s not a huge amount there yet
but the goal is to provide a truly comprehensive reference site
for all LIXI schema and documentation, so its worth a look -
if only so you can tell us what you think is missing or poorly
